The new Panasonic LUMIX S1H Body has been designed and developed by applying the vast expertise and technologies accumulated in the cinema cameras to the LUMIX S Series full-frame mirrorless cameras. It packs all of these technologies, especially in the field of digital signal processing and heat dissipation, into a compact, lightweight body to achieve both high performance and mobility. The main features of the new LUMIX S1H are as follows:
1. High resolution up to 6K for multiple formats

Maximising the use of the pixels in the full-frame image sensor, the Panasonic Lumix S1H, as a digital camera, has achieved 6K/24p (3:2 aspect ratio) or 5.9K/30p (16:9 aspect ratio) video recording for the first time in the world. It is also the world's first full-frame digital interchangeable lens system camera to enable 10-bit 60p 4K/C4K video recording. It accommodates a variety of recording formats, including 4:3 Anamorphic mode, to meet professional needs. Its high-resolution data can also be used for creating 4K videos with higher image quality or for cropping images in 4K.

2. Rich gradation and a wide colour space virtually equal to those of cinema cameras.

The LUMIX S1H features V-Log/V-Gamut with a wide dynamic range of over 14 stops, which is virtually the same as the Panasonic Cinema VariCam, to precisely capture everything from dark to bright areas. The colour and even the texture of human skin is faithfully reproduced. Designed under consistent colour management, the S1H's recorded footage is compatible with V-Log footage recorded by VariCam or V-Log L footage recorded by LUMIX GH5/GH5S.

3. High product reliability that allows unlimited video recording.

In every S1H recording mode, video can be recorded non-stop under the certified operating temperature so the user can concentrate on shooting. The LUMIX S1H has a newly designed 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor featuring Dual Native ISO technology, resulting in minimal noise and outstanding image quality across the ISO range. Combined with the Venus Engine delivers a maximum ISO 51200 / Extended ISO 204800 for a cleaner image at higher sensitivities and a beautiful rendition of dark areas in the frame. Featuring incredibly wide colour gamut, the S1H can record C4K 4:2:2 10 bit up to 30p internally. When 10-bit recording is selected, the camera delivers 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output, making capture with an external recorder possible. The 4:2:2 10-bit option has approximately 128 times the information of 4:2:0 8-bit and is capable of expressing over 1 billion colours. This massive volume of colour information is highly valuable for post-production, making it possible to creatively adjust colour to match the creative vision of the Director. The LUMIX S1H V-Log offers 14+ stops of dynamic range, which covers the PQ requirement of HDR, while V-Gamut covers the full HDR colour spectrum, giving users access to HDR shooting. As a further convenient touch, the LUT used is displayed on the camera monitor, for real-time feedback on the final output wherever, whenever.

For the first time ever in a full-frame digital single-lens mirrorless camera,* the LUMIX S1H incorporates a fan for optimum heat-dispersion ? a feature typically found only on broadcast or cinema cameras. The fan is part of a newly developed body that allows unlimited video recording which causes minimal vibrations to effect image stabilization, and ultra-quiet performance without compromising the dust- and splash-resistant body design.**

The fan is designed to offer greater shooting flexibility through four different settings, including AUTO1 - which starts the fan soon after shooting starts to minimise heat and facilitate longer shots and AUTO2 - prioritizes quiet performance and minimises fan usage.
