Cokin Round Nuances NDX 32-1024 filter 67mm

The Cokin Round Nuances NDX 32-1024 filter is made of mineral glass with innovative filter manufacturing technology. A completely new coating process was developed to ensure uniform colours. A nano-metallic alloy is applied to both sides of the filter which is made of high-strength tempered Schott glass. This type of glass is known for its high light transmission and low reflection. The result is a beautiful neutrality, completely free of infrared pollution.

Why a grey filter?

This grey filter has a 1.5 to 3.0 density and blocks five to ten stops of light over the entire image. This makes it possible to work with a more open aperture or slower shutter speeds. It's ideal in high-light environments and when you want to use certain settings in a setting where the existing light doesn't allow it. It also gives you more control over depth of field.

Why a variable grey scale filter?

Turn the outer ring of the filter to set the range from ND32 to ND1024. So there is no need to change filters to achieve different effects. With this filter it is possible to steplessly control the light while filming at a constant aperture. Think of turning the camera towards the light or away from the light source.
