The camera captures both SD and HD and comes with the AVC-Intra and the AVC-LongG (50/25/12Mbps) codecs.

Low rate AVC-Proxy file recording on the AJ-PX800 allows support for network operation and off-line editing. Two P2 cards can be accommodated offering dual recording to speed workflow and reduce media costs. MicroP2 cards also can be used with an AJ-P2AD1G memory card adapter.

The standard LAN/Ethernet port allows network connection via a wired LAN. A wireless option for IP connectivity is available. This enables the use of functions such as proxy preview and camera remote control from a PC, Mac, tablet device or smartphone.

4G/LTE network connectivity also is supported, allowing broadcast stations to edit recorded data immediately, enabling faster news turnaround and opening up live stream capabilities.
