Since the footage is captured with high-quality H.265 compression, the 8K files are small enough to edit using the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

The X4 supports up to 5.7K60 video for smooth shots at ultra-high resolution.
The camera also supports up to 4K100 capture for super slow-motion footage.
It also features Me Mode, which records 170° field-of-view flat video, which is perfect for POV video with an invisible selfie stick.
Me Mode supports up to 4K30 and 2.7K120 slow-motion modes with external stitching.
When in 2.7K30 mode, the X4 supports in-camera stitching with ready-to-share MP4 files.

MegaView is a new field of view (FOV) option in the app/Studio software that processes 360° video with less distortion at the edges for overall higher image quality.
MegaView supports multiple aspect ratios, including 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, and 2:35:1.
